Supply Chain Operations Manager
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead international supply chain, import logistics, and procurement operations with a strong focus on Asia-based manufacturing and direct import programs. This office-based role supports both brick-and-mortar retail and e-commerce channels across all brands, ensuring timely container flow, customs clearance, and delivery of parts, accessories, and finished goods from overseas suppliers to domestic distribution centers and customers.
Please note: This position is not located in a warehouse or distribution center. It is based in an office environment.
Experience supporting both brick-and-mortar retail and e-commerce operations within a consumer products company is required for consideration.
What You’ll Do:
- International Logistics Oversight: Lead end-to-end import operations, including direct container scheduling from Asia, customs clearance, import documentation compliance, HTS classification coordination, and port-to-warehouse distribution. Manage 3PL partnerships and carrier rate negotiations.
- Support Business Growth: Drive operational initiatives supporting retail and e-commerce expansion by managing budgets, optimizing workflows, and developing scalable policies.
- Cost Optimization: Identify and execute cost-reduction strategies across international freight, duties, warehousing, and distribution while maintaining service levels.
- Vendor & Global Partner Management: Select and manage overseas suppliers and logistics partners; negotiate freight terms, monitor performance, and maintain strong relationships with Asia-based manufacturers and forwarders.
- Supply Chain & Import Compliance: Oversee international shipping timelines, monitor customs processes, mitigate delays, and ensure regulatory compliance for all inbound shipments.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with merchandising, finance, and operations teams to align demand planning, inventory flow, and global sourcing strategies.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inbound inventory flow, warehouse performance, and stock levels to meet service targets and retail commitments.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track KPIs related to freight cost, transit time, customs clearance efficiency, and overall supply chain performance.
- Team Leadership: Oversee team performance, scheduling, and professional development within logistics and supply chain functions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in operations or supply chain management
- Strong experience in both e-commerce logistics and brick-and-mortar retail
- Proven leadership and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (required).
Title: Operations Manager
Wage Range: $85,000.00 USD- $100,000.00 USD
Location: Onsite Chino, CA
