Sales Operations Specialist -The Home Depot
About the Role:
Are you passionate about retail operations, merchandising, and bringing products to market? We're looking for a highly organized and analytical professional to join our team as a Sales Operations Specialist. In this role, you'll be at the center of our retail business, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure products move seamlessly from concept to customer.
Location: Chino, CA (Office-based)
Salary Range: $72,000 USD- $90,000 USD
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate the daily operational execution of the Home Depot account.
- Maintain reports, trackers, meeting notes, and action-item logs to ensure accurate project tracking and follow-up.
- Monitor seasonal transitions to ensure the timely and accurate execution of product changes.
- Analyze historical sales data, POS trends, and market activity to support purchasing strategies and inventory planning.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key retail partners, managing replenishment, quotations, new item onboarding, and item maintenance.
- Monitor sales, margin, and profit performance against established targets; identify underperforming categories and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, promotional performance, and competitive activity to identify business opportunities.
- Partner with the Marketing team to ensure product information is accurate and consistent across print and digital platforms.
- Track new product launches, including key milestones, timelines, risks, and action items.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Operations to ensure alignment on Home Depot initiatives.
- Prepare and coordinate customer presentation materials, ensuring all sections are complete, accurate, and submitted for internal review before customer meetings.
- Maintain daily communication with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve inquiries, claims, and order fulfillment issues.
- Partner with the Business Analytics team to review POS reports, market share, competitive data, and category performance to support business decisions.
- Coordinate communication and follow-up with Asia-based factories to support product launches, inventory planning, and order execution.
- Assist with the creation, maintenance, and distribution of the Product Assortment Guide (PAG).
- Monitor inventory levels and support pricing strategies to maximize sales while minimizing excess inventory and liabilities.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience; Business Administration preferred.
- 2+ years experience in a consumer products company.
- 2+ years working with retail portals (e.g., Walmart Retail Link).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience analyzing sales and forecasting data.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners.
